A planning app I built for myself around a nightly and morning routine, with AI help for sorting tasks, news and email. It runs as a native Mac app.

What it does
At night I dump notes for tomorrow and it turns them into a checklist split into work and personal. In the morning it shows that plan with a short AI brief on what to do first, and it flags tasks that look automatable with a ready to paste Claude Code prompt. Nothing runs on its own.
It also has a log I write in during the day, a news page that summarizes my RSS feeds into one liners and learns from likes and dislikes, a daily learning topic with practice questions, and a read only Gmail inbox that sorts mail into personal, work, spam and relevant.
How it's built
FastAPI with SQLAlchemy and SQLite behind a React and TypeScript front end, wrapped with pywebview and py2app so it opens as a normal Mac app. All keys are entered in the settings screen. There are 31 backend tests with the AI and Gmail parts stubbed out, and a smoke test script that runs the packaged app directly, which is how I tracked down crashes that only happened in the bundled version.
Limits
It's built for exactly one user on one Mac. Database changes are manual, since the setup I used doesn't add new columns to an existing table.
